2011 February 16
by Mary Munro

“About £2.2 billion is spent each year in preventing crime and administering the civil and criminal justice processes in Scotland. About 25 different organisations are involved, including the eight police forces.

This overview will map where public funding to support the civil and/or criminal justice systems is spent; identify the different organisations which are involved in planning, supporting and delivering services, what their role is and how effectively they work together; and identify significant issues which are affecting the efficiency or effectiveness of the justice process.”
